Questions
Do I need to be there?
No. Many buyers aren't. We coordinate with the seller and send you the full report. If you want to be there, or on a live call, that works too.
Can you inspect a car at a dealership or from a private seller?
Either one. We're independent of both, and the report belongs to you.
How soon can you inspect it?
Often within a day or two. Call or text with the listing and we'll confirm a time with the seller.
What if the car sells before the inspection?
Tell us and we'll move your inspection to the next vehicle on your list.
Should I send a deposit before the inspection?
We'd wait. Get the report first, then decide, especially if you're traveling or sending money.
I'm buying from another city or state. Can you help?
That's one of the main reasons people call. Send the listing and the seller's contact, and we'll inspect it and send you the report with photos before you travel or pay.
Will you tell me whether to buy it?
We'll tell you what we found, what we think it means, and give you a recommendation. The decision is always yours.
What does it cost?
Motorcycles are $210, standard cars and light trucks $220, EVs, hybrids and diesels $230, exotics $300, classics $330 and RVs $449. Commercial vehicles and equipment are quoted by type. See the pricing section above.
Is an inspection a warranty?
No. It's a point-in-time inspection. It can't predict every future failure or find issues that can't be seen or tested during the visit.
